"Doing everything you need to do to get the results you want to achieve more frequently and consistently".
Performance Coaching can be defined as helping the performer to get better at doing the things they need to do to get the results they want to achieve – more frequently and consistently. At the outset of performance coaching the coach supports the performer to define their purpose and what ‘success looks like for them’ before moving on to set outcome goals and objectives. Performance coaching involves challenging individuals as well as supporting them, so that they can build their skills and improve their performance in a balanced way.
A hallmark of this approach is that the performer is encouraged to take ownership and responsibility for all aspects of their own performance. With this comes the addition of accountability for the outcomes. The real essence of performance coaching is to build a partnership as the vehicle for performers to identify and stay focused on channelling their energy to maximise performance, achieve their personal best and thrive in their operating environment.
